CONNOISSEUR533 FEATURED ON FATLACE.COM

CONNOISSEUR

When it comes to San Jose you don’t hear much about streetwear boutique. For the past year I’ve been hearing a few “streetwear” boutique that’s been poppin’ in San Jose. Since we don’t get much love around here… I want to introduce you guys, Connoisseur 533.

Connoisseur 533 is one of those shop that’s been poppin’ lately but it’s been open to the public since 2006. When I first visited this boutique (Late 2007 December), I was very impressed with all the small details they have made, arts, graffs, photos, and of course, the best attribute of the store is its random decorations. With all the ultra-minimalism and IKEA furniture sterilizing streetwear boutiques worldwide, it’s nice to see a shop work with so much character and personality.

One of the brainchild behind Connoisseur, Marcus Are. Dude is super humble and knowledgeable when it come to this game. Glad there’s a shop around here that knows what they’re talking about.

The good folks @ Clout

Murs made an in-store appearance at San Jose’s Connoisseur 533 before the boutique’s one year anniversary party at Angel’s on October 27, 2007. He will be featured in the Clout video project which is currently in the works. Met up with Ras Kass before the show to do a little Q&A on video. Check out the Ras Kass cover story in Clout #8. Shouts to Connoisseur for bringing out these two big names in hip hop out to the South Bay.
