Jay-Z's Artful Dodger Letterman Jackets

OGDEN, UT (ABC 4 News) - Coleman Knitting Mills in Ogden received a very glamorous request. Rapper Jay-Z ordered replicas of a 1970 letterman jacket to sell in his clothing line.

Jay-Z found the original jacket in a thrift shop in New York City. His people traced the jacket back to the Ogden company and the talks began.

Dick Coleman owns Coleman Knitting Mills and he took the order. He said, "In our conversation I said you could go to China and they said, we know that but you made this coat and we want you to do that, it was like - I had no choice!"

Coleman made 88 of the replicas adding Jay-Z's Artful Dodger logos to the jacket. The jackets shipped last week and will cost about $300. The jackets will be sold in boutiques back East.
