STEVE JOBS STEPS DOWN FROM APPLE Steve Jobs Stepping Down as CEO of Apple

Due to health issues, Steve Jobs has announced he will be stepping down from his position of Apple CEO.

“I have always said that if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple’s C.E.O., I would be the first to let you know,” Mr. Jobs said in a letter released by the company. “Unfortunately, that day has come.”

Mr. Jobs will become chairman of the board, while Tim Cook, current chief operating officer, will succeed Mr. Jobs as chief executive.
