Fuckin' Alphabet City - one day can last forever when it's the only thing that matters. Stunts, blunts and skateboards are on the minds of nine friends hanging out downtown on yet another carefree day in New York City. Rame, Mighty and Specs run into their homegirls and their favorite L.E.S.bians at Tompkins Square Park, and it looks like there's a house party tonight.
All That Matters will premiere first in trailer form, with a full-length edit to follow. The feature was directed and produced by the infamous duo Lazlo and Erik of Kilo (Rocksmith Clothing). A.T.M. is one of the first video features to be shot entirely using the Japanese Harinezumi camera.
The carpe diem attitude of All That Matters is visually paired with the Rocksmith Holiday 09 collection. The line features progressive cut & sew with vintage quality and fabrication, such as the OG Varsity Jacket with distressed leather sleeves and the corduroy/French terry Apex pullover. The Stunts Blunts tee puts a NYC twist on a California classic, while New Money is the anthem blaring through the Boombox skate deck speakers.

REGGAE GOT SOUL
Reggae music has strong roots in American Soul. If you listen to any old roots reggae records from artists like Lee "Scratch" Perry, U-Roy, The Wailers, etc you can hear elements of R&B and Soul. Bob Marley himself referenced Soul artists like James Brown, Curtis Mayfield and Marvin Gaye as influences. From the picture above you can see he had collaborated with Stevie too.
This musical melting pot is the concept behind my latest mixtape called: Soulclash Hi-Fi. This mix of Reggae tunes, re-edits, covers and remixes is rooted in Soul with an island vibe. Official CD release w/ cover art will be available soon. Stay tuned.

Conspicuous Consumption with a Conscience
Once again, Gucci designs a special collection to benefit Unicef. Last year it was the White Heart Tattoo collection of products and this year, the collection is inspired by author and Illustrator Michael Robert's children's Book, Snowman In Africa.
The annual Gucci Campaign to Benefit UNICEF has consistently supported education, healthcare, protection and clean water programs for orphans and children affected by HIV/AIDS in sub-Saharan Africa. In this highly active five-year period, Gucci has succeeded in committing over $7 million to UNICEF. This significant sum is a testament to the increased scale and scope of the company’s support, and has resulted in Gucci’s current status as the largest corporate donor to UNICEF’s “Schools for Africa” campaign. “Schools for Africa” aims to increase access to quality basic education for all children, with a special emphasis on helping the most disadvantaged—girls, orphans, children living in extreme poverty and other vulnerable children. In past campaigns, Gucci funds have focused on Malawi and Mozambique, and this year Gucci will add support for a third country, South Africa. In these three countries, over 2.3 million children have been orphaned by the HIV/AIDS pandemic.

Created in 1954 by Mamiya of Japan, only 250 were made for police training purposes, and were never offered to the public. They shoot half-size onto 35mm film, and had fixed-focus 45mm lenses.

Transparent Acrylic Lexus LFA By Scu Fujimoto
The 2009 Tokyo Motor Show this week had plenty of surprises. Although many were not necessarily the production or concept cars on display. One of those curiosities was the full-size translucent Lexus LFA built by well know Japanese architect Scu Fujimoto.
This ice-like sculpture was first presented at the 2009 Milan Design Week back in April. Constructed out of transparent acrylic boards that were sanded and polished, this piece was brought to the show to display along with the official unveiling of the production version of the 2011 Lexus LFA. With a price tag of $375,000 this new supercar is the company’s new halo model. I just wonder how much this transparent replica cost to build. I’ve seen acrylic chairs online that cost upwards of $600, so I can only imagine.
What’s so amazing about this see-through Lexus LFA is the attention to detail and the exacting specifications to which it was crafted. Just check out the engine, seats, instrument cluster, wheels, suspension and exhaust. For more info, be sure to check out the Lexus L-Finesse web site.

Cash Money CEO’s Bryan “Baby” and Ronald “Slim” Williams have released their first public statement on the recent gun conviction of their star artist Lil Wayne.
Wayne plead guilty yesterday (October 22) to attempted weapons possession charges, and is expected to be sentenced to a year in prison.
“The Cash Money family will continue to support our artist and friend Lil Wayne in his current court case. We have worked with Wayne since he was a teenager, and have seen him grow into one of the world’s most successful hip-hop artists, with a work ethic that is second to none,” the Cash Money CEO’s explained to AllHipHop.com.
In the hours that followed, peers such as Slim Thug vehemently defended Wayne as being an unjust target due to his status as a black celebrity.
Others, such as ex-wife Toya Carter, opted to press that fans and media alike continue to support the rapper, and chastised those who have abandoned him.
With two freestyles (“Swag Surfin’,” “Wasted”) recently leaking from Wayne’s anticipated mixtape No Ceilings, the Williams brothers confirmed that Wayne will continue to receive the label’s full backing during this dark period.
“Wayne has our love and commitment during this difficult time. We always have and always will stand behind him,” the Williams brothers said.
As reported earlier, Lil Wayne is expected to serve at least 8 months of the 1 year prison sentence.

One of the movement's most notable subdivisions was the 533 Boutique.
Its motto was as follows:
Connoisseur 533 is a store that is not affected by trends, pop stars,
or “the next hot thing.” Connoisseurs, as the definition states, are
people with discriminating tastes -people who can decide for
themselves what is fly, and what is not. Connoisseur 533 is a space
for such people. It’s a platform where designers are presented
cleanly, in a no-frills atmosphere. A place without pretentiousness,
for people who appreciate fresh design. We are not concerned with the
popularity contest because fashion is a matter of taste.
In Hopeful yet uncertain times, the Connoisseur Group opted to leave
the storefront retail behind and move in new directions. The retail
market had become saturated, then stagnant. The group opted to
strengthen from within, utilizing other elements of the network.
Partnerships within our network have allowed us to delve deeply into
full-service branding from inception (or introduction) to design and
development, print and media placement to implementation and
management. Closely-associated individuals within our network are
professionals in fields such as:

The Connoisseur Group is a multi-faceted marketing media and project
management firm. CONN5 creates branding solutions and multi-media
strategies to reach fashionable, lifestyle-conscious,
socially-responsible individuals.
Officially Established in 2005, the Connoisseur Group is an
amalgamation of creative and motivated forces from various sectors of
our vast network. Artists of various mediums and forms along with
enthusiasts of many types merged to achieve their ever-continuing
creation and cultivation of art, fashion, and lifestyle. The use of
the term Connoisseur is intended to be held to its true definition
and is prevalent in everything in which the group is involved. Current
projects with SJDigiprint and various booking agencies as well as a
video film crew and editors are currently and consistently in
progress.
One of the movement's most notable subdivisions was the 533 Boutique.
Its motto was as follows:
Connoisseur 533 is a store that is not affected by trends, pop stars,
or “the next hot thing.” Connoisseurs, as the definition states, are
people with discriminating tastes -people who can decide for
themselves what is fly, and what is not. Connoisseur 533 is a space
for such people. It’s a platform where designers are presented
cleanly, in a no-frills atmosphere. A place without pretentiousness,
for people who appreciate fresh design. We are not concerned with the
popularity contest because fashion is a matter of taste.
In Hopeful yet uncertain times, the Connoisseur Group opted to leave
the storefront retail behind and move in new directions. The retail
market had become saturated, then stagnant. The group opted to
strengthen from within, utilizing other elements of the network.
Partnerships within our network have allowed us to delve deeply into
full-service branding from inception (or introduction) to design and
development, print and media placement to implementation and
management. Closely-associated individuals within our network are
professionals in fields such as:

Best start stacking all your frogskins cause the fam over at The Premium Label are dropping some fucking heat this upcoming season and I know damn well I'm going to be picking up many if not all of it.
